Arlberg-Kandahar, two names for a myth of the Alpine ski... For the12th time, Chamonix welcomes on the 10th and 11th of January 2004 this world-famous event with in the program two heats of the World Cup of Alpine ski : the men downhill and the slalom on the famous piste Verte of Les Houches.

For its 3rd edition, the magazine Olymplic dedicates itself in its completeness to the valley of Chamonix as to the spirit and patrimony “Kandahar”. So, by opening our different columns to the world of the Alpine ski, to the history of the races of the A.-K. and to the organization of the edition 2004, we are proud to uncover to you one of the biggest sport event celebrated in Haute-Savoie.

Olymplic owes a lot to all the persons who contributed to the existence of this special edition, but also to the warm reception of Guy Périllat, Adrien Duvillard, the Sports Club of Chamonix, the E.N.S.A. and the Tourism Office of Les Houches.
